8 Ways to Use an Egg Cooker

Microwave egg cookers are a fast and simple way to cook eggs, plus they’re dishwasher safe, so clean up is easy too. From scrambled, to soft boiled—you can do it all in under a minute!

Using a microwave egg cooker is really easy. Just sprinkle a few grains of salt in the bottom of the egg cooker then break an egg right into the container. The egg cooker works best with large eggs.

Then, using a fork, pierce the yolk and white a few times. Place the lid on the cooker base and twist to secure before placing in the microwave.

For a soft boiled egg, microwave on high (100% power) for 30 seconds, or on medium (50% power) for 50 seconds. For a hard boiled egg, microwave on high (100% power) for 40 seconds. Always let the egg cooker stand for 30 seconds before removing the egg to let it cool.

You can even cook more than one egg at a time! Check out these easy instructions for how to cook 2 egg cookers in the microwave and how to microwave 2 eggs in 1 cooker.

Microwave egg cookers are also a great way to cook scrambled eggs. After placing your egg into the egg cooker, whisk it with a fork (or whisk it in a small bowl and then pour it into the egg cooker). After about 15 seconds in the microwave, stir the egg to create the curds. Place it back in the microwave for another 10 seconds. When it’s done cooking, let it stand for about 20 seconds before stirring it again.

You can use these scrambled eggs in a number of dishes, like a Ham and Egg Quesadilla, Pizza Egg Melts, Cheesy Broiled Eggs on Toast, or these Breakfast Burritos.
