- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup (60 mL) salted butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 1/2 lbs (0.7 kg) assorted mushrooms, cleaned and sliced
- 1 slice rustic bread
- 1 slice Swiss cheese
- Salt and pepper
In a frying pan, heat butter. Add garlic and mushrooms and cook for 4 to 5 minutes or until softened, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and season with salt and pepper.
Toast a piece of the rustic bread, and top with a slice of Swiss or your favourite cheese.
In a small frying pan, fry egg until white is set and yolk is still slightly soft, about 3 minutes or until desired doneness.
To serve, place toast slice with cheese and top with mushrooms. Top with a fried egg.
