For many people in our local communities, the holidays aren't always a time of celebration and cheer. Holiday gatherings can be expensive and stressful and for those who are dealing with poverty, tragedy, or disability, they can be a painful reminder of their struggle. This is why in 2015 the Egg Farmers of New Brunswick chose to use their holiday party to bring a little cheer to those who need it the most. In lieu of presents normally given to staff, 300 dozen eggs were donated to the Greener Village Community Food Centre Food Bank. Eggs were delivered to contribute to food donations that provide almost 1000 hampers to low or fixed income families and individuals on a monthly basis.
