Wendy and Nathan Burns are 7th generation egg farmers from Prince Edward Island. Wendy and Nathan take great pride in their work and are proud to provide Prince Edward Islanders with fresh, quality eggs. Wendy also believes that community involvement is very important.
“Everyone can contribute in some way,” says Wendy, who donates her time to many causes, including volunteering for the breakfast program at her daughter’s school. As many as 1 in 7 children go to school on an empty stomach. School breakfast programs ensure that children who may otherwise not have access to healthy breakfast get a nutritious start to their day, and thanks to volunteers like Wendy, this is possible.
