Eggs in the Classroom (EIC) is an initiative of the Egg Farmers of Nova Scotia. The program presents junior high and high school students with a positive and practical health message about eggs in a fun atmosphere. The goal of the program is to educate students about all aspects of eggs. From egg production to nutrition and food preparation, students gain vast knowledge of eggs. So far in the 2017-18 school year, EIC has completed nineteen classroom sessions in six schools in the Halifax Regional Municipality. The program is an ongoing program with more classes planned for 2018. After each session, classes submit an evaluation of the program. Testimonials of the program have been outstanding.
