Having grown up on an egg farm, it seemed quite natural that Myra Brydges would purchase an egg farm with her husband Alan.
“It’s a wonderful place to raise a family, and it gives us the opportunity to include our children in the family business,” says Myra. “They love helping out on the farm collecting and packing eggs, and we’re able to teach them the same values about working hard and caring for animals that were instilled in me as a child.”
Alan and Myra have installed enriched cages for their hens. This type of housing provides more space for the hens, as well as nesting boxes where the hens like to lay their eggs, and perches on which they group together to sleep at night.
The Brydges family takes great joy in being able to produce food for other egg lovers.
