Clément Pouliot

Quebec 4th Generation Egg Farmer

Clément Pouliot is very proud to be an egg farmer. He is equally proud of his family history. His parents started raising laying hens in the 1960s, and at the time, they had about a hundred hens. As the eldest child, he followed the production’s evolution closely. In the 1980s, he and his brother took over the business, which then had 8,000 hens.

Today, the P.E. Pouliot Inc. farm has 18,000 laying hens and the family history continues to evolve as Clément’s nephew has been working with them on the farm for the past two years.

Active in many associations, federations and cooperatives, Clément Pouliot’s role of ambassador of quality eggs is something he takes to heart. But, as when he was a child, his favourite part of the day is the early morning collection of his fresh, beautiful eggs.
